University of Dundee – DJCAD Matthew Building Phase 4

The 2021 refurbishment programme for the Historic Environment Scotland Grade B listed Matthew Building was originally planned for summer 2020, however owing to the coronavirus outbreak and subsequent global pandemic the client took the decision to delay them until 2021 to coincide the works with the vaccine roll out, in order to minimse risk to University of Dundee staff, students and the contractor team carrying out the works.

The Package included extensive upgrades to Mechanical & Electrical services on multiple floor levels within the building, the complete renewal of two existing tiered seating teaching spaces, overhaul and renewal of a number of student toilet blocks within the building and a major replacement of curtain wall systems on all elevations of the facade.
