Pert Bruce successfully delivered a refurbishment and external improvement project at the James Hutton Institute in Invergowrie, enhancing both the building’s functionality and appearance. Works included removal of lean-to structures, roof repairs, installation of a timber fence and gate, hard landscaping, and painting of brick, render, and metal cladding—completed successfully despite challenging weather conditions that required careful planning and sequencing. Internally, we carried out door relocations, partition removals, fire-rated door installations, minor electrical alterations to accommodate the new layouts, and full ground-floor decoration. Delivered on time and with minimal disruption to the live research environment, the project improved safety, efficiency, and the overall look of the facility.
