Following the merger of the Royal Montrose Golf Club with the Montrose Mercantile Golf Club, a larger facility was required and the existing Royal Montrose clubhouse was fully refurbished and extended to provide modern facilities with increased capacity to house the much increased club membership. The bar & dining area was extended out towards the 1st tee whilst the locker & welfare facilities were fully refurbished with new mechanical & electrical services throughout and significant structural alterations to the original 1920’s superstructure to accommodate the new more open plan internal layout.
