DESCRIPTIONMeticulous care was taken to preserve the precious building fabric of A-Listed Arbuthnott House; a site owned by the same family for 800+ years, whilst gently adapting it to suit the lifestyle of a 21st century family. Many features of the house, such as the remarkable 17th century plasterwork, represent an extraordinary survival that will continue to delight the visiting public and the occupants of the house for generations to come. This was a project that resolved a negotiation between the past, the present and future - giving a new lease of life to this multi-layered and extraordinary family home.
